The problem

Multi-entity compliance is a nightmare of separate tools

Every company, LLP and partnership tends to get its own spreadsheet, its own reminder email and its own idea of what "done" means. None of that scales past the second entity.

One tool per company

The same GST due date gets tracked, or missed, in four different ways because each entity lives in its own spreadsheet or its own person's memory.

Deadlines buried in inboxes

A reminder email that was never opened looks identical to one that was, right up until the penalty notice arrives.

Evidence scattered everywhere

The filing acknowledgement sits in one inbox, the board resolution on another laptop, and the auditor's confirmation nowhere at all.

See it in action

A tour built from the running product, not a mockup

These are real screenshots captured against the current build, not renders. Test data only: the workspace shown is called “QA Evidence” on purpose.

The Obligations screen listing overdue, due soon and upcoming compliance items across QA Evidence Pvt Ltd, ranked by urgency, with entity, domain and status columns.
Obligations

Every obligation across every entity, ranked by urgency: overdue first, then due soon, then upcoming.

The Rule library screen listing rule codes, obligations, domains and filing frequency, with Ask and Audit actions on every row.
Rule library

265 rules today. Every one carries an Ask and an Audit action, and links to the source it was researched from.

The Filings screen showing filing counts by stage and a register table for what has been submitted and under what acknowledgement number.
Filings register

What was actually submitted, and the acknowledgement number the government portal issued for it.

The Documents screen with an uploaded file and a Custody column showing that its content has not yet been verified.
Documents · custody

Every uploaded document carries a custody state, checked against a content hash recorded at upload.

A document detail dialog showing custody status, storage mode, version history and the text extracted from the file.
Documents · detail

Open a document to see its custody, its version history and the text extracted from it, in one place.

A confirmation message reading Verified, content matches the recorded hash, shown after running Verify now on a stored document.
Documents · verified

Verify on demand: the app rehashes the file on your server and tells you honestly if it still matches.

A Grant an engagement form filled in with a company, a law domain, an engaged consultant, term dates and a retainer fee.
Engagements · grant

Grant a consultant one engagement, for one company, in one law domain, with real term and fee terms.

The Engagements register showing one active engagement with its company, law domain, term, fee terms, and Edit, Renew and Revoke actions.
Engagements · register

Every engagement in one place: who is responsible, what it covers, and when it runs out.

An obligation detail page for an MGT-14 filing showing a compliance concierge panel, a checklist, and a posted comment beneath it.
Concierge · comments

Ask the concierge why a rule applies or what happens if you miss it, answered from your own data, and comment on the obligation itself.

The Communication Log screen with filters for channel, entity, task and notice, listing every outbound message a workspace has sent.
Communication log

Every outbound email, SMS, WhatsApp message and digest a workspace has sent, with delivery status, in one log.

The Vendors screen explaining that outside contractors log into their own portal to upload evidence and self-attest, which is a claim and not verified compliance.
Vendors

Vendors and contractors self-attest in their own portal. Self-attestation is a claim, not verified compliance, and the product says so out loud.

The People screen showing digital signature certificate and appointment term widgets, and a register of one person with their DIN and number of companies.
People register

One register for every director and signatory: a person who sits on four boards is one row here, not four.

The Settings screen Licence tab, showing a whole-account export control that downloads every record as CSV and JSON regardless of licence state.
Whole-account export

Export every record as CSV and JSON, whenever you want, regardless of what your licence currently allows.

All 13 screens are genuine captures from the running build. Two source captures were byte-identical duplicates of others and were left out rather than shown twice.

The platform

What you actually get

Nine things that are built and working today, not on a roadmap slide.

Multi-entity workspace

Switch between every company, LLP and partnership you run from one login. A holding structure stays one workspace, not one login per entity.

A rule engine that cites its sources

265 rules today, each one traceable to the source it was researched from. Ask why a rule applies and audit where it came from, on the same screen.

One obligations queue

Every filing, board resolution, TDS deposit and licence renewal, ranked overdue first. One queue across all your entities, not a calendar per company.

Document custody you can verify

Every uploaded document gets a content hash the moment it lands, and a Verify control that rehashes the file on demand and tells you honestly if it still matches.

Consultant engagements

Grant a consultant one engagement for one company in one law domain, with a real term and fee basis. Renew or revoke it without losing the record of who was responsible when.

Vendor self-attestation, kept honest

Vendors and contractors log into their own portal to upload evidence and self-attest. That is a claim, not verified compliance, until your own review accepts or rejects it.

One communication log

Every outbound email, SMS, WhatsApp message and digest this workspace has sent, with delivery status and what it was about, searchable in one place.

A whole-account export, always

Download every record a workspace holds as CSV and JSON, whenever you want, regardless of what your licence currently allows. Your compliance history is never held hostage.

AI that explains, never decides

Ask why a rule applies, why it is showing for your entity, or what happens if you miss it, answered from your own workspace data. It explains. It does not file anything, and it is not a substitute for your CA or CS.

Design, not decoration

Every obligation has a clear state, and colour is never the only signal

Six states, each one carried by four channels at once: hue, lightness, treatment and an icon plus a word. A colour-blind user, a greyscale printer and someone scanning in a hurry can all read the same board.

Overdue Solid fill, the heaviest treatment in the systemUsed for exactly one meaning: a statutory deadline has passed.
Due soon Amber tintDated and coming up. Nothing has gone wrong yet.
Awaiting approval Blue tintSomeone specific must act: a chain is waiting on a sign-off.
Upcoming Outline, recedes to neutralDated, nothing to do yet.
Filed Quiet teal tint, never greenDeliberately not brand-coloured, so a finished obligation never gets confused with the logo.
Not applicable Dashed outline, achromatic by ruleAn absence, not a chip. It can never be mistaken for a real state.

Deployment

Self-hosted on infrastructure you control

NiyamTrail runs as containers on your own server or VPS. Your entities, your documents and your filings stay on infrastructure you control, not in a multi-tenant database you cannot inspect. There is no hosted, sign-up-today version yet: talk to us and we will walk you through a real install.

What runs on your server The application, the database, and every document your team uploads. Nothing about your compliance data leaves your infrastructure.
What we provide The container images, a guided setup, and upgrade support as new releases ship.
What licensing looks like today NiyamTrail is licensed, not open source, and we have not published pricing or tiers yet. That is being worked out, not hidden.
What is not available yet A hosted, multi-tenant version you can sign up for without talking to us. Self-hosted is the only way to run NiyamTrail today.

Nothing here is a locked box

The whole-account export in the platform section above is not a marketing line: it is a working control in Settings that downloads every record as CSV and JSON, regardless of what your licence currently allows. If you ever want to leave, your data comes with you in a format a spreadsheet can open.

What we are not claiming, yet

Stating limitations plainly is what this product sells

A compliance tool that overstates its own coverage is worse than no tool at all. Here is exactly where NiyamTrail stands today.

State coverage

Maharashtra and Karnataka today, not all 36

Rule coverage today is two states and union territories out of thirty-six. We are expanding state by state. Every rule library page in the product itself carries the same line: this catalogue is a compliance reference, not legal advice, and applicability should be confirmed with a qualified CA or CS before relying on it.

The four Labour Codes

In force since 21 November 2025, and our citations have not fully caught up

Most existing obligations still operate under the transition provision that keeps prior rules in force until new ones are framed. But a working set of citations in our catalogue still name the Acts the Codes replaced. We are correcting citations with a CA, CS or labour law professional, rule by rule, not by asking a model to mark anything current.

What the AI actually does

It gathers and explains. It does not decide.

AI in NiyamTrail can explain why a rule applies, why it is showing for your entity, or what happens if you miss it, grounded in your own data. It never marks a rule current, never files anything, and never substitutes for a qualified professional's judgement. A CA, CS or labour law professional validates what the model finds, always.

Pricing

Not finalised yet

We have not decided a pricing model. Nothing on this site should be read as per-entity, per-user, per-module or any other structure. Talk to us if you want to be part of shaping it before it is fixed.

Deployment

Self-hosted only, no hosted SaaS yet

NiyamTrail runs on your own server today. There is no multi-tenant hosted version you can sign up for without talking to us first.

Licensing

Licensed, not open source

NiyamTrail is licensed from day one. It is not an open-source product, and we are not positioning it as one.

“This catalogue is a compliance reference, not legal advice. Confirm applicability, wording and current requirements with a qualified CA or CS before relying on it.” The exact line every rule library page in the product carries today, reproduced here rather than softened.
